Born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio. I have a B.A. from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, (outside of Boston) where I lived and worked from 1983 until 1990, when I headed West and relocated to Oklahoma City.
I'm a mom to a beautiful 20 year-old daughter, wife to my husband Joe Forrest (also a RE/MAX Realtor), full-time Realtor, avid reader, and proud American. I consider myself down-to-earth with a dry sense of humor and a heart for the underdog. I strive to be transparent, approachable, and a fair & balanced straight shooter. I love to learn and refuse to lower the bar.
I've been selling or marketing product and/or services of some sort since the age of 14 and my education and years of business experience helps me to be both a good listener and a strong negotiator. From 2000 - 2009 I operated a successful local interior design business where I was heavily involved with local builders, Realtors and contractors. I oversaw the interior design installations of COHBA's Feature Home in the 2005 Parade of Homes as well as the 2006 House of Hope. My design experience enables me to help buyers and sellers alike think outside the box when it comes to considering a new or existing property.
It is my goal to treat every client as though they are the most important client that I have using a completely hands-on approach for every nuance of your transaction from first meeting to closing, and beyond.
I believe in maximizing the potential of everything I touch....where many perceive and evaluate a situation for what it appears to be on the surface - I prefer to see what it CAN be. Whether it's a neglected home, a poorly designed space, or a seemingly impossible negotiation or some other unforeseen hurdle!
As a Top-Producer I'm confidant in my knowledge and abilites to exceed the needs and expectations of my clients and no client is "too small" I welcome and embrace the the First Time Home Buyer who is unfamiiar with the process and may not even be sure of what they want and certainly what dangers to avoid. It's important to empower and educate these buyers who can often be "passed by" due to the frequent extra investment of resources and time involved in helping them find the home of their dreams. I believe our profession has an extra dose of responsibility to encourage and integrate this populatoin into the Real Estate Market in a way that instills TRUST and INTEGRITY as they continue to buy and sell throughout their lives.
My personal passion for exceptional customer service permeates my approach to business but it's my understanding of how relational this process NEEDS to be before, during and AFTER the sale, that drives my buisness and subsequently, my success. As a Real Estate Professional who works primarily through Referral, throughout the process, my goal is for clients to become lifelong friends and advocates - ultimately more like family rather than just another transaction.
